Beer Me- the Opening Monologue

Over the past few years I have begun to develop a taste for beer. Now, when I say beer, I am not referring to the slightly bitter tasting colored water that often bares labels like "Bud Light," "Michalobe Ultra," or even "Budwiser." No, I am talking about Beer. I am talking about that tall glass of liquid enjoyment that can best be appreciated devoting your senses to the entire act of of its consumption. The type of drink who's quaffing merits dedicating time and attention to the very experience. Sure, I may throw back a macrobrew here or there at a party, but when I ask for a beer, thats not what I am looking for.

So, I am creating this blog as a way for me to better remember my beer drinking experiences, and as a guide for myself in what to drink in the future. I hope to be able to look back on this blog and see my tasts change and develope. I have already seen my pallette expand from strictly hoppy ales and IPAs to really enjoying some porters and stouts.

I will try to post here every time I have a new beer that I have not had, or at least have not posted about here. I will also post when I have beers that I have had in the past, especially if my experience is different. I will include what I was doing at the time of drinking, what I taste, and how I like it. I will also try to include the price I paid for the beer, and where I got it.
